Still Gleeful

The Glee Cast hold at No1 on the Album Chart for a second week with their first volume of songs from the TV show, ahead of hardy perennials Paolo Nutini, Florence & The Machine and Lady Gaga at No2, No3 and No4 respectively – three albums which have collectively racked up a massive 132 weeks in the chart. more


No Pressure For Jedward

After causing scenes of mayhem at their Dundrum store appearance this week Jedward return triumphantly to the top of the Singles Chart, up from last week’s No2, to take a second week at No1 as the CD version of ‘Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby)’ hits the shops. With sales levels far outstripping any of their competitors there can be no doubt of the Irish twins popularity on their home soil. more


More Help For Haiti

‘Everybody Hurts’ debuts at No1 on this week’s Singles Chart for Simon Cowell’s group of global stars, a charity project from which the proceeds will go towards helping the victims of last month’s Haiti earthquake. The song was originally released by R.E.M. in 1993 when it reached No6 in the Irish Charts. more


Twins Peak

X Factor survivors John & Edward Grimes, better known as Jedward, seize the top spot on this week’s Singles Chart with their debut release ‘Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby)’, teaming up with Vanilla Ice who reached No1 on the Irish Charts with his version 20 years ago. The Queen & David Bowie original reached No2 nearly 30 years ago. more
