Mum’s The Word

Mothers Day has a huge impact on this week’s Album Chart, with the Top 3 titles all appealing to the mums. Andy Abraham’s ‘The Impossible Dream’ has a second week at the top, followed at No2 by Andrea Bocelli’s ‘Amore’ and at No3 by ‘The Essential Finbar Wright’, up from No5 last week. more


Dream Debut For Abraham

Andy Abraham capitalises on this week’s run-up to Mothers Day, entering the Albums Chart at No1 with his debut album ‘The Impossible Dream’. Eventually coming second to Shayne Ward in the recent series of X Factor, he trounces his other fellow-finalists Journey South, who come in at No25 this week with their self-titled debut. more


Cash Is King

Johnny Cash continues to dominate the album charts, with ‘Ring Of Fire – The Legend’ taking a third week at the top of the Artist Album Chart and his bio-pic soundtrack ‘Walk The Line’ taking a fourth week at the top of the Compilations Chart. more

Pat Shortt makes it three weeks in a row at the top of the Singles Chart with ‘Jumbo Breakfast Roll’, still way ahead of the nearest challengers Pussycat Dolls ‘Beep’ at No2 and ‘Chico Time’ at No3. more
