Shayne Wards Off Bruce’s Challenge

Shayne Ward’s self-titled debut holds at No1 on the Album Chart for a second week, but there’s a strong new entry at No2 from Bruce Springsteen with ‘We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions’. It’s his 14th studio album and follows ‘Devils & Dust’ which spent 3 weeks at No1 a year ago. Christy Moore’s ‘Live At The Point 2006’ slips one place from No2 to No3, ahead of 3 more new entries: Gnarls Barkley at No4 with their debut ‘St. Elsewhere’, Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova ‘The Swell Season’ at No5 and Rihanna ‘A Girl Like Me’ at No6. more

Shayne Has The X-Factor!

For only the 5th time in the last ten years a former No1 returns to the top of the Singles Chart having previously been ousted from the top spot – this week it is the turn of Gnarls Barkley to reclaim the top prize as ‘Crazy’ heads back to No1 after dropping to No2 last week. Shayne Ward’s, ‘No Promises’, slips back to No2 whilst Mary J. Blige & U2 climb a place from No4 to No3 with ‘One’. more

Shayne lives up to his promise

On the eve of the release of his debut album, Shayne Ward achieves two out of two as his new single ‘No Promises’ heads straight for the top of the Singles Chart this week, claiming his second No1 with his second release. Despite a very strong challenge and strong sales, Gnarls Barkley’s ‘Crazy’ has to settle for the No2 spot followed at No3 by Pat Shortt’s ‘Jumbo Breakfast Roll’. more
