Sixteen years after their first appearance in the Irish Singles Chart (No20 with ‘Da Funk’), Daft Punk land their first No1 this week with ‘Get Lucky’ (feat. Pharrell Williams). In the intervening years the French duo made the Top 10 twice – ‘Around The World’ (No8 in 1997) and ‘One More Time’ (No9 in 2000) – but all their other releases stalled outside the Top 30. more


Much Loved

Michael Bublé debuts at the top of this week’s Album Chart with his sixth studio release ‘To Be Loved’ – his fourth consecutive No1 in Ireland following ‘Call Me Irresponsible’ (2007), ‘Crazy Love’ (2009) and ‘Christmas’ (2011). more


Bastille Storm The Charts

Both the Singles and Album Chart see a new No1 this week. Bastille take the honours on the Singles Chart with ‘Pompeii’ - the fourth track taken from their debut album and the first to chart – halting its two week drop to climb to the top from last week’s No4. more


Bressie’s Best

Ireland’s Niall Breslin, aka Bressie, debuts at No1 on this week’s Album Chart with his new album ‘Rage And Romance’ taking a healthy lead over Justin Timberlake’s ‘The 20/20 Experience’ which drops to No2 after two weeks on top. This is Bressie’s second solo album since the demise of the Blizzards – his first – ‘Colourblind Stereo’ debuted and peaked at No8. more
