Shakira (feat. Wyclef Jean) has a second week at No1 on the Singles Chart with ‘Hips Don’t Lie’, heading a Top 10 which is virtually unchanged from last week. more


Keane To Please

Two years after their debut album ‘Hopes and Fears’ entered the chart at No3, Keane get their first Irish No1 with the follow-up ‘Under The Iron Sea’, replacing Red Hot Chili Peppers, who plummet to No6 after five weeks on top. more


Sandi Sure

Sandi Thom’s ‘I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (With Flowers In My Hair)’ climbs one place from No2 to claim the No1 spot on this week’s Singles Chart – the first solo female to top the chart since Jennifer Lopez ‘Get Right’ back in February 2005. more


Still barking after 8 weeks

Gnarls Barkley’s ‘Crazy’ remains stubbornly at the top of the Singles Chart this week despite a very strong challenge from Sandi Thom whose single – ‘I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker’ moves up the chart from No10 to No2. This gives Gnarls Barkley eight weeks at the top of the chart and equals Shayne Ward’s reign earlier in the year. Mary J. Blige & U2’s ‘One’ drops a place to No3 as Infernal continue their slow ascent of the chart moving from No6 to No4 this week with ‘From Paris To Berlin’. Pink achieves this week’s highest new entry at No6 with ‘Who Knew’ – one place short of her last single ‘Stupid Girls’ which debuted at No5 in March. more
