Tens years after

A decade after his untimely death on 29th May 1997, Jeff Buckley’s posthumous collection ‘So Real’ debuts at No1 on this week’s Album Chart. His first album ‘Grace’ never climbed higher than No14 but the follow-up ‘Sketches For My Sweetheart The Drunk’, which was released after his death, debuted and peaked at No2 in May 1998. ‘So Real’ is the first compilation album to top this chart since U2’s ‘U218 Singles’ in the first week of January this year – every other chart-topper since then has comprised original new studio material. more
