It’s a return to form for the Canadian boy wonder, after his interim festive second album ‘Under The Mistletoe’ peaked at No5 in the run-up to Christmas last year. more


Cheryl Calls The Shots

With her third solo album ‘A Million Lights’ released today, Cheryl Cole debuts at the top of the Singles Chart with the lead single ‘Call My Name’ – her third solo No1 single in Ireland, following ‘Fight For This Love’ and ‘Promise This’. She also hit the top with Girls Aloud’s ‘Sound Of The Underground’ in 2002 and with Helping Haiti’s ‘Everybody Hurts’ in 2010, bringing her overall tally to five. more


Ed First

After debuting at No2 back in September last year, Ed Sheeran’s ‘+’ finally reaches the top spot on the Irish Album Chart this week, boosted by performances on BBC’s The Voice and the Jubilee Concert. During this nine month period he’s only dropped out of the Top 10 for three weeks – and the album had spawned five hit singles. more


Swede Dreams (Are Made Of This)

Following her Eurovision victory in Baku last weekend, Sweden’s Loreen debuts at No1 on this week’s chart with ‘Euphoria’. She’s the first Eurovision winner to top the Irish Singles Chart since 1993, when Ireland’s own Niamh Kavanagh spent five weeks at No1 with ‘In Your Eyes’. more
