Streets dominate both charts

The Streets has a second week at No1 on the Singles Chart with 'Dry Your Eyes', ahead of O-Zone's 'Dragostea Din Tei' at No2 - still climbing the chart 8 weeks after release. more


Britney toppled by The Streets

The Singles Chart sees a change at the top as the Streets' 'Dry Your Eyes', the second release from his latest album, debuts at No1, outselling the No2 single by more than 2-1. Britney Spear's 'Everytime' drops to No2 while Usher moves back up a place with 'Burn' to No3. Tim O'Riordan & Natural Gas move back up the chart again to No4 as they release a new remix version of 'The Langer'. more


5 weeks at No1 for Britney

Britney Spears makes it five weeks at the top of the Singles Chart with 'Everytime', and for a second consecutive week she retains the slimmest of margins over George Murphy's 'The Moon Going Home' at No2. Counting Crows have this week's highest new entry at No6 with 'Accidentally In Love' from the Shrek 2 Soundtrack (which, incidentally, climbs to the top of this week's Compilation Albums Chart). Shapeshifters have the next highest new entry at No7 with 'Lola's Theme'. more


Britney leads Star George

Britney Spears makes it four weeks at the top of the Singles Chart with 'Everytime', marginally ahead of 'You're A Star' competitor George Murphy whose debut 'The Moon Going Home' is the highest new entry at No2. Mario Winans drops one place to No3 with 'I Dont Wanna Know', Usher falls 2 places to No4 with 'Burn' and Damien Rice & Christy Moore slip from No4 to No5 with 'Lonely Soldier'. more
