This week’s Singles Chart sees a change at the top as Timbaland achieves his first Irish No1. ‘The Way I Are’ (Feat Keri Hilson) climbs from last week’s No4 to get to the top displacing Fergie’s ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ which drops a place to No2. Timbaland had previously made the No2 spot in 2007 with ‘Give It To Me’ his collaboration with Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake. Rihanna feat Jay-Z drop a place from No2 to No3 with ‘Umbrella’. more


Rags To Riches

Bristol-born tenor Paul Potts, winner of ITV’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, debuts at No1 on the Album Chart this week with ‘One Chance’ just four months after his first audition for the show, when he was still selling mobile phones. more


Much to Admire

In the week of the Oxegen Festival, performers Interpol take the No1 spot in the Album Chart with their new release ‘Our Love To Admire’, by far their best showing on the Album Chart to date: 2004’s ‘Antics’ debuted and peaked at No 10 while 2002’s ‘Turn On The Bright Lights’ has never charted. more


Double Top For Rihanna

Rihanna achieves a rare chart double this week – the first artist to top both Singles and Albums Charts since Justin Timberlake in September last year (‘Sexyback’ and ‘Futuresex/Lovesounds’) and the first female artist to perform the feat since Kylie Minogue in October 2001 (‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ and ‘Fever’). more
