In his third week in the Singles Chart Kid Rock takes his ‘All Summer Long’ to the Top of the Chart up from last week’s No2. By far his best ever showing in the Irish Chart – only ‘American Bad Ass’ back in 2000 entered the Top 30 – at No 30. more


Coldplay’s High Five

Coldplay take a fifth consecutive week at No1 on the Album Chart with ‘Viva La Vida’, bettering the three weeks that ‘X&Y’ spent at the top in 2005 and the four week reign of ‘A Rush Of Blood To The Head’ in 2002. It’s also the longest consecutive run at the top since Cascada’s ‘Everytime We Touch’ which spent five weeks at the summit in March-April 2007. more


All He Ever Wanted…

Basshunter climbs three places from No4 to take this week’s No1 on the Singles Chart with the CD release of ‘All I Ever Wanted’. It’s a second consecutive Irish No1 for Swedish DJ Jonas Erik Altberg performing as Basshunter, following in the successful footsteps of ‘Now You’re Gone’ which spent 5 weeks at No1 earlier this year and is currently the second best selling single of the year so far in Ireland (behind Sharon Shannon & Mundy’s ‘Galway Girl’). more


Brown Bounces Back

Chris Brown climbs back to No1 on the Singles Chart with ‘Forever’ after slipping to No2 last week, when he was deposed by Leanne Moore’s ‘On Wings’ – which crashes to No27 this week as local promotional activity dries up. more
