Cascada’s Magic Touch

Cascada’s ‘Everytime We Touch’ takes a second week at No1 on the Singles Chart this week with an increased lead over Shakira, holding at No2 with ‘Hips Don’t Lie’. more


Christina: Third Time Lucky

Christina Aguilera debuts at No1 on the Album Chart with her third album ‘Back To Basics’, her first Irish Number One album after her self-titled debut album peaked at No29 in 1999 and ‘Stripped’ made it to No2 in 2002. more


Girls On Top

In a Top 10 dominated by solo female artists this week, Shakira celebrates her ninth week at No1 on the Singles Chart with ‘Hips Don’t Lie’, giving her the longest running No1 this year and equalling the Black Eyed Peas nine weeks in 2003 with ‘Where is The Love?’. Rihanna holds firm at No2 with ‘Unfaithful’ whilst Cascada moves up to No3 from last weeks No7 with ‘Everytime We Touch’. Although not making it back into the Big Brother house this week, Irish DJ Spiral makes it into the Top 10 with the re-release of ‘Finglas’ which debuts at No9 – a better showing than its first outing when it peaked at No38. more


Top Of The Hip Parade

Shakira stays firmly at the top of the Singles Chart this week with ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ – her eighth week at the top and in the process matches Gnarls Barkleys eight weeks at No1 with ‘Crazy’ earlier in the year. Rihanna holds on to the No2 position with ‘Unfaithful’ whilst Christina Aguilera’s ‘Ain’t No Other Man’ moves up a place to No3. Cascada achieves this week’s highest new entry with her new single – ‘Everytime We Touch’ – which enters the Top 10 at No6. Having had previous Chart success in her native Germany this is her debut release in Ireland. more
