Chart Of Kings

After 20 weeks in the Top 40 Albums Chart, Kings Of Leon finally make it to the top spot with their third album ‘Because Of The Times’, up from No2 last week and swapping places with Timbaland who slips to No2 after two weeks at No1 with ‘Shock Value’.

Top Timbaland

In another quiet week for new releases the Singles Chart remains fairly static. Timbaland feat. Keri Hilson holds on to the No1 spot for a third week with ‘The Way I Are’ while Fergie remains at No2 with ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’. Hans Zimmer’s ‘Spider Pig’ is one of the week’s biggest climbers moving from last week’s No13 to this week’s No3 while his orchestral version of ‘The Simpsons Theme’ also enters the Top 50 at No46.

Double Top

As the market slows down for the summer holidays this week’s Singles Chart remains steady at the top as Timbaland holds on to No1 spot for a second week with ‘The Way I Are’ (Feat Keri Hilson) . Fergie’s ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ remains firm at No2 while Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’ stays at No3.

There are only 2 new entries in the Top 30 this week – both coming from the new Simpsons film – “The Simpsons Movie” : Hans Zimmers enters the Chart at No13 with ‘Spider Pig’ while Green Day enter at No 29 with ‘The Simpsons Theme’ both on Download only.
