Madonna lands at No1 this week with her fourth greatest hits collection ‘Celebration’. Of the previous three, ‘The Immaculate Collection’ was the only one to reach No1 in 1990, with ‘GHV2’ debuting at No2 in 2001 and ‘Something To Remember’ making No7 in 1995. more


Vive La Resistance!

The Album Chart is overhauled this week with the arrival of three new entries in the top positions, but it’s Muse who head the pack with their 5th studio album ‘The Resistance’ landing at No1. This is their second consecutive No1 album, following ‘Black Holes & Revelations’ which debuted on top three years ago. Prior to that, ‘Absolution’ (2003) and ‘Origin Of Symmetry’ (2001) both came in at No3. more


Fab Again

There’s no change in the top echelons of the Album Chart this week with The Script at No1 and Florence & The Machine at No2, but the highlight of this week’s chart is the return of The Beatles. With their entire catalogue re-mastered and re-released on Wednesday, the 17-disc Box Set makes the greatest impact after the first two days, debuting at No13. ‘Abbey Road’, ‘Sgt Pepper’ and ‘Revolver’ follow behind, charting at No19, No22 and No28 respectively. more


Many Happy Returns

Black Eyed Peas return to the top of the Singles Chart this week with ‘I Gotta Feeling’, their seventh week at No1 in total. – still a few weeks behind the 9-week stretch at the top for their first and biggest Irish hit ‘Where Is The Love?’ back in 2003. more
