Mumfords Tower Over Opposition

In another week of big name releases Mumford & Sons come out on top taking their second album ‘Babel’ straight into this week’s Album Chart at No1. Their three year old previous release ‘Sigh No More’, which reached No1 in 2010, also gets a sales boost this week climbing back into the Top 10 for the first time in a year, up to No7 from last week’s No25. more


Killers Battle To The Top

The Killers land at No1 in this week’s Album Chart with their fourth studio album ‘Battle Born’, maintaining their 100% record in Ireland: ‘Hot Fuss’ spent eleven weeks at the top in 2005, ‘Sam’s Town’ sat at No1 for five weeks in 2006 and their previous album ‘Day & Age’ was at No1 for one week in 2008. more

In an all-new Top 3 The Script debut at No1 on the Album Chart with their third album ‘#3’, matching the top spot launches for the previous two – which both went on to spend five weeks at No1. more


Box Office Smash

Two Door Cinema Club debut at No1 on this week’s Album Chart with their second album ‘Beacon’, the follow-up to their platinum slow-burner ‘Tourist History’ which has now spent more than a year in the chart but never made higher than No16. more
