Raging Bull

Ten years after their debut ‘Youth And Young Manhood’ reached No18 on the Irish Album Chart, Kings Of Leon land at No1 this week with their sixth studio release ‘Mechanical Bull’ – and it’s their fourth consecutive No1 in Ireland. more


Arctic Freeze

Arctic Monkeys take a second week at No1 on the Album Chart this week with ‘AM’, heading a Top 3 unchanged since last week – The Strypes hold at No2 with ‘Snapshot’ and Kodaline are non-movers at No3 with ‘In A Perfect World’. more


Monkey Business

Arctic Monkeys fifth album ‘AM’ debuts at No1 on this week’s Album Chart – their fourth No1 in Ireland, with only ‘Suck It And See’ missing out on the top spot (No3 in 2011). Meanwhile the support band on their current UK tour, Cavan youngsters The Strypes, have the next new entry at No2 with their debut album ‘Snapshot’. more


Many Happy Returns

While there is a change at the top of both the Singles and Album Charts this week they both have former No1’s returning to the summit. On the Album Chart Kodaline take ‘In A Perfect World’ back to No1 for the fourth time giving them a total of seven weeks at the top – the most weeks at the top for any artist over the past few years. They have some way to go, however, to catch Adele whose ‘21’ returned to the No1 spot nine times and spent 35 weeks on top. more
