Brian Lara caught behind Madagascar

It’s another good week at the movies for Activision as the multi-format ‘Madagascar’ holds on to No1 for a second week, while stablemate ‘Fantastic Four’ is boosted by the movie hitting cinemas this week, bounding from No8 to No3. Codemasters’ ‘Brian Lara International Cricket 2005’ (PS2/XB/PC) comes in to bat at No2 with a good first innings on both PS2 (No2 in PS2 Full Price Chart) and Xbox (No1 in Xbox Full Price Chart).

It's a Mad-agascar world!

Activision’s DreamWorks movie tie-in ‘Madagascar’ (PS2/GBA/XB/DS/GC/PC) colonizes the top spot in the All Formats Entertainment Chart, jumping 5 places from No6 to No1 as sales of last week’s retailer promoted ‘Juiced’ dry up (falling from No1 to No3).

THQ Squeeze Past Former Gold Medal Winner

THQ’s day has finally come and thanks to some price promotional activity it is ‘Juiced’ (PS2/XB/PC), not ‘Destroy All Humans!’ that gains them their first Entertainment Software Chart No1 this year (without actually being No1 on any of the individual format charts).

Aliens advance on No1

EA’s ‘Medal of Honor: European Assault’ (PS2/XB/GC) holds off an alien invasion from THQ’s ‘Destroy All Humans!’ (PS2/XB), remaining at No1 for a second week despite dropping 31% in sales. ‘Destroy All Humans!’ blasts its way up the chart from No4 to No2, leapfrogging another THQ game, ‘Juiced’ (PS2/XB/PC) which remains at No3.
