London 2012 runs away with it for second week!


With the Olympics in full swing Sega’s ‘London 2012: The Official Video Game’ takes the gold medal for a second successive week at No1 (+88%).

The Top 3 remain unchanged with ‘Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes’ (-15%) still at No2 and ‘Mario & Sonic London 2012 Olympic Games’ (+42%) continuing to occupy its highest ever chart position at No3. The Dark Knight continues his climb with ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’ (+21%) up to No4. Retailer promotions also see a boost for both ‘The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’ (+42%) climbing from No8 to No5 and ‘Assassins’s Creed: Revelations’ (+54%), which re enters the Top 10 All Formats Chart at No6.

After a four week absence there is also a return to the Top 10 for ‘Battlefield 3’ (+56%) at No8 while last week’s No4 ‘Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier’ (-34%) slips to No9. ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’ (-37%) also drops from No6 to No10. There is a debut for Deep Silver’s ‘Risen 2: Dark Waters’ at No14, which beats its predecessor’s chart position with the original ‘Risen’ debuting at No29 back in week 40 2009.
